2008 Membership Subscriptions
Suscriptions are now due for the forthcoming year. It was decided at the AGM not to change the membership subscription for this year.
Suscriptions are:

CLUB CLEAN UP DAYS/NIGHTS
In order to keep maintenance costs down the club committee requires the help of senior members and parents of junior members to lend a hand doing odd jobs. If you could help by giving a little of your time to help with strimming, mowing, hedge trimming, raking up, litter picking, or filling in the rabbit holes, we would be most grateful. Watch this space for the next date.
MARSHALLS/OFICIALS
When the club holds events we require people to help marshall the course, this can be done by parents, friends or seniors who cannot run because of an injury, but we do not have time to ask every single person if they are available so if you are able to help at a particular event please let myself, Sue Murfin, or John Jaines know are telephone nos are on the newsletters. This also applies for officials at track and field events when people are required to hold a tape measure or use a rake, so if your child is competing why sit around during events getting bored when you could be doing a vital job, some of the events may have to be cancelled if there aren't enough volunteers on the day. So when you collect your numbers let the team manager know you're willing to help.
Junior Schools Cross Country Relays
This is an annual event some of you may already be aware of as your children may well be or have been competitors. As many as 300 or more children will run for their schools, we therefore need an army of helpers on the day, senior members or parents, that can help marshall, run stalls or help with refreshments. This can be done on a rota basis if enough people come forward and certainly if your child is competing you would be able to watch them, that goes without saying.
Tombola
Prizes are required for the Tombola stall we plan to have at the schools event. We are looking for chocolates, biscuits, tins of fruit or veg ect, bottles of sauce, fruit juice, pop or wine, and any of those unwanted gifts or 'smellies' from the back of the cupboard to mention just a few. If each child were to bring just one item however large or small we could soon fill a stall and so help raise extra funds for your club.
200 Club and Fund Raising
Please join our 200 club or join in other fund raising events
Why?
The Club needs funds to operate successfully. We need an income of around 6000 per year to operate. Whilst we do receive money from various sources including the local council etc. this will not keep the club going. We need your assistance in the following ways:
- Join The 200 Club.
The more members we have the bigger the prizes. The cost is 2.00 per month and 50% at least of the subscription is returned to the members each month in prizes. Its not as good as the National Lottery but it can and does produce a steady income.
(entry form) - Annual Raffle.
This is to coincide with the schools cross country and so will be drawn on race day. As usual all members and their families will receive a small number of tickets please do sell them every ticket sold helps. Please do return unsold tickets well before the date of the draw. More details later.
